Grammy Highlights

The 53rd annual Grammy Awards, the biggest night in music, took place Sunday night. There were several awards that came as a surprise to a lot of people, including me. Two of them, I never heard of before. These includes Best New Artist, Esperanza Spalding and the Album of the Year winner, Arcade Fire.

There were several good performances which included two performances by Rihanna, one with Eminem and the other with Drake. Katy Perry‘s segment showed a never-seen-before clip of her wedding with actor-comedian Russel Brand. Bruno Mars earned a standing ovation for his performance which also showcased his talent in the drums. I personally liked Ceelo‘s performance with Gwyneth Paltrow and the puppets.

See for yourself how some contestants failed miserably.

This lady lose over $1 million in prize…

Woman Tried to Mail Puppy

The Minneapolis woman who recently tried to mail a 4-month-old puppy to Atlanta in a package has appeared in front of a administrative hearing officer to ask for the poor pup back along with the $22 she paid to ship the dog.

When Stacey Champion first brought the box to the post office, she warned postal workers to be careful, but reassured them that she was shipping a toy robot. But when the box began to move and make noise, workers got permission to open it, and found a 4-month old puppy inside named Guess, a black poodle-Schnauzer mix. The postal workers gave the thirsty pup some water, and now he’s at an animal control facility.

Stacey Champion said in the hearing she was sending the dog to surprise her son for his birthday and blames the post office for the little mix-up, saying:

Super Bowl XLV Highlights

Green Bay Packers have won Super Bowl XLV, defeating Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in a thrilling game that went right down to the final few plays.

But who cares? Maybe the major of US population but not including me. While other people were glued to the game, I was glued to the entertainment and advertisements. So, let’s do a little recap…

FAIL: Christina Aguilera completely flubbed the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

She was probably just very nervous, you know – with tens of millions of people watching worldwide!

Christina¬†forgot to sing “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? and was so frazzled that she sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last reaming?” in its place.

The correct and complete lyrics are as follows:

And the War Continues- AT&T vs. Verizon

After a record-breaking 17-hour-long preorder sellout for the highly anticipated iPhone, Verizon with their newest commercial takes a not so subtle jab at longtime competitor AT&T.

The ad begins with a spinning series of close-up shots of the iPhone, as epic music plays and the voiceover calls the phone “beautiful,” “intelligent,” and “ingenious,” before asking, “But does your network… work?”

A man picks up the now-ringing phone and answers, “Yes, I can hear you now,” before touting Verizon’s network.
