Preschool Fail

07 Mar

Check out this video of preschoolers dancing to Michael Jackson’s hit, Thriller. While the lead dancer was doing his best impersonation of Michael and the crowd applauding his cuteness, something went wrong towards the end. See what happened…

Awww, the poor boy probably got so embarrassed.

After watching this video, I was reminded of a similar experience my oldest son had during his preschool. It was during the school’s Christmas presentation when their class did a song and dance number.  Here’s the problem though…I don’t know who’s idea it was for the kids to wear red pants made out of crepe paper.

While crepe paper is usually used to make decorations and artificial flowers, it is sometimes used to make costumes. I also remember during my first grade dancing a Hawaiian number with grass skirt and leis made of this. You should have seen the stain it left all over my body after performing under the scorching heat of the sun.

Going back to my child’s preschool presentation, everything went well and he seemed to enjoy his performance until that part when he had to drop in one knee. This has caused his pants to be ripped by the crotch which exposed his whities. After getting up, he never moved and didn’t even finish the dance. I even had to carry him off  the stage. (LOL)

Too bad, the school didn’t allow cameras at that time because they had an “official ” photographer who didn’t care to capture the best moments worth keeping. We didn’t own a video camera at that time either, otherwise I could have posted it in You Tube as well. My son would probably kill me…

Aren’t they cute. No matter how they goof, the crowd like them even more.

Hey classmate, I remember that field day presentation we had. They made us do that Hawaiian dance by hook or by crook. I could have sued them for cruelty to a minor. Well, kidding aside, it was a memory that will be forever cherished.

That boy is actually pretty good. I hope they will bring him to the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Crepe paper as costume? Poor kids had to be wrapped in that piece of paper and still expected to perform their best.
