Rihanna Flaunts Her ASSet…Again

Oh, yeah! What’s new? This is becoming so redundant already but I shouldn’t complain. Every time I post pictures of Rihanna showing her ASSet, stats for my blog site skyrocket.

Run to your nearest magazine stands for your own copy of Rolling Stones’ April Issue before it runs out. More Rihanna pictures and a raunchy article inside.

Definitely, sex sells…What else is new?

Negative News About Filipinos This Week

Today is Wednesday, just midweek but negative news regarding Filipinos here and abroad are one after another.

Yesterday, we heard about three Filipinos who were executed through lethal injection in China. The 3 Filipinos are Ramon Credo, 42; Elizabeth Batain, 38; and Sally Villanueva, 32. Separately arrested in 2008, the three were convicted for each smuggling between 4,000 and 6,800 grams of heroin either in Xiamen and Shenzen. The families of the three convicted individuals insisted their loved ones were mere victims of drug syndicates recruiting Filipinos to travel to China without their knowledge that they are carrying illegal drugs in their baggage.

Also yesterday, we heard about seventeen-year-old Rachel Anne Hachero, an honor student at the exclusive Canterbury School in Fort Myers Florida, who had been accepted into several Ivy League schools on scholarship. But Hachero’s future is now uncertain after being accused of pistol-whipping her mother and forcing her to co-sign a car loan at gunpoint. The teenager is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, unlawful possession of a firearm by a person younger than 18, and battery.

A Banana a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Why not? When you compare a banana to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.

Bananas contain three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.  It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to treat depression, make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

OMG, LOL Added to the Dictionary

It’s official: OMG and LOL are no longer just time-saving shorthands. They’re real English.

The Oxford English Dictionary (OED), the stalwart bastion on proper language, has embraced the tech world and added several abbreviations to its new online edition.

Those include OMG (Oh my god), LOL (laughing out loud), TMI (too much information), FYI (for your information) and BFF (best friends forever).

Cyclops Baby Born in India

A baby boy with one eye in the center of his forehead and no nose was born in India last week but survived only one day. The child must have possibly suffered from cyclopia, a deformity which causes the eyes and nose not to form properly.

In 2006, India saw another cyclopic baby born in the city of Chennai. The baby girl survived and was taken home by her parents. No recent reports offer any further information about her survival.

A year earlier, a one-eyed baby girl was born prematurely in Russia but died almost immediately after being delivered. Reports claimed her head, shoulders and back were covered with thick hair and a “small trunk” was growing above her eye.

In 2005, a kitten born with one eye in Oregon made national headlines. Called Cy, the kitty survived just one day. Its body kept in a glass jar filled with alcohol was eventually sold to the Lost World Museum in Phoenix, N.Y.

Cases like these have been documented for hundreds of years. The mythological Cyclops dates back to ancient Greece and may have been inspired by a cyclopic infant.
