Super Bowl XLV Highlights

07 Feb

Green Bay Packers have won Super Bowl XLV, defeating Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in a thrilling game that went right down to the final few plays.

But who cares? Maybe the major of US population but not including me. While other people were glued to the game, I was glued to the entertainment and advertisements. So, let’s do a little recap…

FAIL: Christina Aguilera completely flubbed the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

She was probably just very nervous, you know – with tens of millions of people watching worldwide!

Christina¬†forgot to sing “O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? and was so frazzled that she sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last reaming?” in its place.

The correct and complete lyrics are as follows:

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Halftime Show: Reactions are divided; others say it’s the best while others say it’s the worst. Black Eyed Peas performed several songs which we had seen numerous times in the past. We have to give credit to the elaborate production with hundreds of performers dressed in Tron-like outfit that changes color in every song.

Nothing new with Usher and same with Slash. See the halftime video here…

What’s up, Tina? Were you on something when you sang the national anthem? You have done this numerous times so what the f— happened there?

I just thought she had a longer version of the anthem. Since she stretched every letter in the lyrics, I even got lost singing it. I thought it was just me…
