VC 12814.6 $214 Failure to obey license provisions.

VC 14600(A) $214 Failure to notify DMV of address change within 10 days
Note: The fine may be reduced with valid proof of correction.

VC 16028(A) $796 Failure to provide evidence of financial responsibility (insurance)
Note: This fine may be reduced with proof of insurance on or after the violation date.

VC 21453(A) $436 Failure to stop at a red signal.

VC 22349 $214 Unsafe speed, 1 to 15 miles over the limit.

VC 22350 $328 Unsafe speed, 16 to 25 miles over the limit.

VC 22450 $214 Failure to stop at a stop sign.

 

Spring Forward – Daylight Savings Time

Daylight saving time 2011 begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 13. While may enjoy the extra hour of daylight in the evening, the time change has a bigger purpose. The brainchild of Ben Franklin, daylight saving time was originally created over one hundred years ago to increase hours of sunlight for more time to work and play outdoors. Today daylight saving time is used to conserve energy, but does it really work?

 

Target Re-releases 34 Designer Collections

Over the past five years, Target’s GO International designer collections have really enhanced our wardrobes without depleting our bank accounts. But the most coveted pieces from each collection have always flown off the shelves, and there are some dresses that we just couldn’t manage to get our hands on.

Luckily, Target has introduced the GO International Designer Collective, where they’ve given us a second chance to pick up dresses from past collaborations with Proenza Schouler, Zac Posen, Rodarte, Thakoon, and many more.

So here’s your second chance–the collection will be available tomorrow, March 13th at Target.com and in store until April 10th or, as we’ve learned the hard way, until supplies last.

Artists to Donate Gaddafi’s “Blood Money” to Charity

Gaddafi may not be winning points with philanthropists around the world, but his so called “blood money” could do some major good.

In February, the whistle-blowing website, WikiLeaks, exposed large sums of money received by celebrities who had performed for members of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime. Stars were quick in responding to avoid further embarrassment. Some stars have donated funds to various charities while others have either promised or donated additional funds.

Who are the stars involved and what did they say about the whole fiasco?

 

Volunteers Needed to Clean Up Redondo Beach

Heal the Bay, one of Southern California’s leading ocean advocates, is looking for volunteers to help clean up millions of dead fish that washed up in King Harbor near Redondo Beach on Tuesday.

City public works crews cleaned up 35 tons of fish with skimmers and bulldozers on Tuesday, but much more work remains to be done.

About 200 city workers and 75 volunteers are working to get the fish out of the harbor. Redondo Beach officials estimate that the clean-up will cost at least $100,000.

 

Millions of Dead Fish in Redondo Beach

Since it’s Ash Wednesday tomorrow which we observe by abstaining from meat, I can’t decide whether to have seafood pasta or fish, then came this breaking news…

Millions dead fish, including anchovies, sardines and mackerel, are apparently floating up to the surface from the ocean floor and washed up in King Harbor near Redondo Beach.

Fish and game officials are still investigating what might have killed the fish. There are initial reports that a red tide, an algae bloom that sucks oxygen out of the water may have killed this large numbers of fish. But officials said they weren’t aware of any red tides, or other issues that could have caused such a massive killing.

 

Christina Aguilera Arrested

I usually stay away from discussing somebody’s private life but I can’t help to blog about Christina Aguilera’s continued mishaps. I’m not sure what’s going through her mind these days but she continues to mess up her life.

When Britney Spears was in her darkest moments, she was put on a gurney, placed on 5150 psychiatric hold, lost custody of her children, shaved her head, smashed a paparazzo’s car with an umbrella, flashed her private parts, and spoke in a British accent. She did not, however, get arrested.

Christina Aguilera just did. She was arrested by the police after flagging down her boyfriend for driving erratically. Her boyfriend was charged with DUI while Christina was booked for public intoxication. After her mugshot was taken, she was fingerprinted and then placed in a cell.

Not that I care, right? After all, this is just a common trend with showbiz personalities these days.

 

Vote for American Idol Through Facebook

As the Top 12 Male Contestants battle it out in tonight’s episode of American Idol, online voting is allowed for the first time. Fans can go to AmericanIdol.com and register to vote. You can vote for your favorite singer tonight as soon as the show ends at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) on Fox. A Facebook account is required to register and once you’ve followed the link and directions you’ll be set to go.

Voting in previous seasons were only allowed by calling and texting with no limit. Online voting though is limited to only 50 votes for that evening’s performances. Only fans with a registered Facebook account in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands will be able to cast their vote(s) online.

2011 Best Dressed at The Oscars

The Oscars last night awarded the best among the bests in the film industry. As expected, Natalie Portman won the Best Actress Award for her performance in “Black Swan” while Colin Firth won the Best Actor for “The King’s Speech”.

Christian Bale was awarded the Best Supporting Actor Award and Melissa Leo, the Best Supporting Actress for their performances in “The Fighter”.

“The King’s Speech” was declared the Best Picture and “Toy Story 3″, the Best Animated Film.

Before the awarding ceremony, the stars walked down the traditional Red Carpet. In this year’s event, a lot of actresses were dressed to the nines. It was really difficult to select the Best Dressed so I just narrowed down my list to the ten best.
